Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree and hands-on industry experience (Ph.D., 0-2 years or M.S., 2-4 years) in cell biology, biophysics, or equivalent.
- Interest and success working with mammalian tissue and cell cultures.
- Ability to independently design, analyze, and present experiments using standard molecular and cell biology methods and assays (reporter assays, RT-PCR/qPCR, cell sorting, ICC/IHC).
- Skilled at solving technical problems is a must.
- Enjoy working independently and in team settings.
- Have prior experience training junior staff, incorporating guidance, organizing workload, and maintaining documentation.
- Clear oral and written communication skills are required.
- Passion for learning and the ability to turn theoretical knowledge into practice.
Preferred Qualification
- Skilled in adopting and/or establishing a variety of cell-based assay including but not limited to FRET/TR-FRET, high content image analysis, fluorescent, or bioluminescent reporter assays.
- Development of organoids and advanced characterization methodology.
- The desire for keeping abreast of new technologies and industry innovations
- Experience with automation instruments for cell culture is a plus.
- Preparation of human iPSCs using standard culture methods and techniques is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, conduct, analyze, and discuss cell culture work and experiments.
- Perform 2D/3D, spheroid and organoid cell based assays.
- Analyze data using standard softwares: ImageJ, GraphPad Prism, Excel.
- Prepare and present scientific studies and results internally and externally.
- Actively participate in technical discussions and team meetings.
- Maintain laboratory records. Write technical reports and publications as needed.
- Engage and communicate with business partners on scientific and technical information.
- Mentor junior scientists as needed.

We are looking for a Technical Alliance Manager (TAM) to join our team. Tempo’s TAM will connect with our clients and engage prospective clients. S/he will learn about the clients’ research and development needs and help them explore how iPSC-derived disease models and biosystems can help them accelerate their projects and achieve their goals.

- Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or related field and a minimum of 1-2 years of biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Hand-on experience with mammalian cell cultures and iPSCs based cell models.
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new cutting-edge technologies.
- Organized self-starter able to prioritize workload and partner with external parties.
- Ability to work independently and to work effectively in a team environment.
- Skilled at crafting and delivering scientific data.
- Strong communication skills including teaching, writing, and spoken communication.
- Experienced working with standard document, spreadsheet, graphic, and presentation softwares.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with internal and external parties.
- Experience in the biotech industry in the R&D and preclinical settings.
- Prior experience with CRM software is a plus.

- BA/BS degree and 0-3 years operations industry experience.
- Record and manage lab supplies and inventories.
- Assist with biologics shipping including labeling and documentation.
- Assist the commercial team in market segmentation analysis.
- Maintain consistent records and record accountability.
- Maintain general laboratory safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge of CRM softwares -- a plus.
- Organizational skills — detail-oriented documentation and record keeping.
- Passion for learning new methods and technologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates a team-oriented mindset.
