Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Advanced degree and hands-on industry experience (Ph.D., 0-7 years) in cell biology, biophysics, or equivalent.
  • Interest and success working with human primary cell cultures and/or tumor xenografts.
  • Ability to independently design, analyze, and present experiments using standard molecular and cell biology methods and assays (e.g., reporter assays, RT-PCR/qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, ICC/IHC).
  • Skilled at solving technical problems is a must.
  • Enjoy working independently and in team settings.
  • Have prior experience training junior staff, incorporating guidance, organizing workload, and maintaining documentation.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Passion for learning and the ability to turn theoretical knowledge into practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skilled in adopting and/or establishing a variety of cell-based assay including but not limited to FRET/TR-FRET, high content imaging, fluorescent, or bioluminescent reporter assays.
  • Development of 3D organoids and advanced characterization methodology.
  • Experience with automation instruments for cell culture is a plus.
  • Preparation of human iPSCs using standard culture methods and techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with high content imaging instruments and software is a plus.
  • The desire for keeping abreast of new technologies and industry innovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, conduct, analyze, and discuss cell culture work and experiments.
  • Perform 2D/3D, spheroid and organoid cell based assays.
  • Analyze data using standard softwares: ImageJ, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, CellProfiler, Excel.
  • Prepare and present scientific studies and results internally and externally.
  • Actively participate in technical discussions and team meetings.
  • Maintain laboratory records. Write technical reports and publications as needed.
  • Engage and communicate with business partners on scientific and technical information.
  • Mentor junior scientists as needed.
