Senior Scientist

PhD level scientist with 1-2 years biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience

Required skills:

  • Mammalian cell culture including primary cells and human iPSCs
  • Experience with industry-standard reporter assay development
  • Experience with flow cytometry and related cell sorting methods
  • Experience with quantitative PCR (qPCR)
  • Experience with Immunocytochemistry (ICC) and cell based staining methods
  • Strong communication skills — teaching, technical writing, and oral communication skills
  • Excited about working in a fast-paced high-pressed start-up environment
  • Passionate to stay current with new technologies in the biotech industry
  • Outstanding interpersonal and partnership skills with internal and external parties

Preferred skills:

  • 3D or spheroid cell culture
  • Experience with High Throughput Screening (HTS) assays

  • Experience with high content image analysis and computational methods

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

*Tempo Bioscience is based in San Francisco, but the position can work remotely from anywhere within the United States.*

We are looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, works hard, stays organized, and is an effective communicator. We need individuals who seek the culture and excitement of joining a biotech startup company focusing on regenerative medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to prospects to generate interest and brand recognition.
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships, conduct background research on leads from the Company database.
  • Discover new leads through internet research and social media monitoring/commenting.
  • Achieve agreed upon “leads” targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members.
  • Supply team with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends, continuously improve through feedback.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related fields.
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in sales resilience and perseverance. You’ll have the capacity to learn from every deal (or rejection).
  • Coach-ability, openness to feedback, and consistent self-improvement.
  • Must be able to thrive on remote work.
  • Quick learner, tech savvy and curious, persuasive and patient, confident and polite.
